In 2010, Communities In Schools Dallas Region (CISDR) will celebrate a quarter century of helping students succeed academically and achieve their dreams by providing, one-on-one academic support and services from professional staff to more than 500,000 capable, but underachieving schoolchildren.

These students are able to overcome tremendous odds, succeed academically and build their dreams because CISDR professionals bring together nearly 1000 volunteers to create a caring community of support to each one right on campus. Last year CISDR’s proven model of individualized case management supported 11,078 students in 61 public schools in the Dallas region with stunning results verified by the Texas Education Agency—98% remained in school to successfully pursue their dreams.
