Southern Staircase is providing a sweeping freestanding double curbed main stair that is all poplar. The stair has 4 bowed treads with a helical ascending bull nose starter step. The basement stair is a curved “U” stair that continues with a smooth flow from the main area. We have designed custom 10” iron scrolls with triple decorative medallions in the rail work to match the iron front doors. These will be matched with 9/16th hammered wrought iron balusters and newels with over the post poplar Monte Carlo railings. All of the poplar will be faux finished to give the look and feel of limestone material. The balusters will be faux finished to give a soft Old World feel. The finest attraction of the stair system will be the custom shaped helical ascending volute that will be the entry point of main stair.

This will be a fairly low maintenance set of plantings, consisting of many plant species that were selected to fit the spaces provided rather than overcrowding those areas. A custom designed irrigation system includes low maintenance sprayers and a highly efficient drip system that could help make the home use as much as 30% less water than traditional irrigation designs.
