Evan-Talan Homes was founded by Cory Childress who has extensive accomplished experience in the high end market of the home building industry. Cory began building homes in 1994 and still continues to offer a high level of stability to his clients. He accomplishes this by remaining focused on the homeowner’s desires with each project.
Cory’s latest project in Loch Lloyd was awarded 435 South Magazine’s Home of the Year. His most recently completed project, in the Links at Lionsgate, won First Runner Up in the 2009 HBA Spring Tour of Homes.

Acme Floor Company Inc. is a family owned business since 1928. Currently run by third and fourth generations. Acme Floor has a showroom in Lenexa and prefinish shop where we do all our own "custom prefinishing". We also operate a mill in Brighton, Missouri and do both new construction residential and commerical projects. Recent projects have included the KU Allen Field House and the Kauffman
Center for the Performing Arts.
For the Home of Distinciton, all Rift and Quartered flooring materials were manufactured at our mill in Springfield or in our mill shop here in Lenexa.
The dining room has a basket weave pattern of Rift and Quartered
White Oak, with Burl Walnut insets. The lanai is a pattern of Rift and Quartered White Oak pickets with tile insets.
On the lower level we installed a racquet court using 2 1/4" Maple flooring, and a gym floor using 4" Maple flooring.

United is installing fifty-five tons of conditioned air provided by nine single zoned and three multi-zoned ground source systems, two ductless split systems, two ducted refrigeration systems, and one all electric hvac system. The ground source systems are an extremely efficient geothermal solution that utilizes the earth’s relative constant temperature to heat and cool the home. Additionally, United is installing radiant floor heat for key areas of the home providing additional comfort while utilizing the ground source system for a highly efficient heat source. Snow Melt will also be installed to keep the driveway and back porch area clear of ice and snow during Kansas City’s winters.
For additional comfort, United will install Media Filters for indoor air quality.
