Cua Builders is honored to be selected to build the first Home of Distinction in Central Ohio. It is an event benefitting Children's Hospital and one that we hope will succeed and aid local charities for years to come.

This home represents Shingle style architecture; a style true to America and often called the architecture of the American summer. This style was born along the eastern seaboard when our country was first being settled.

On the front elevation of the home, you will notice the shake-shingles in each of the six gables. An eyebrow dormer, asphalt dimensional shingles, standing seam metal and a cupola adorn the roof. The windows, garage doors, casing, crown, corbels and columns are all white, the traditional trim color of Shingle style. The shake shingle and siding are trimmed in gray depicting the color cedar turns to as it ages.

The foyer opens to oak hardwood floors and ten foot ceilings. Complementing the color of the exterior trim, you will see white library paneling, wainscoting, two piece crown molding, beams and cased openings.

Stepping left you will be introduced to the study, the first floor owner's retreat with a fireplace in the bedroom; the great room with a 12' ceiling, a massive picture window overlooking this wooded lot and a grand fireplace. Stepping right you will see the formal powder room, and a spacious kitchen offering a casual sitting area in front of a 3rd fireplace and entry to the sun room surrounded by windows which will serve as the formal and casual dining room. The kitchen also leads to the side family foyer which includes the pantry, the laundry room, a 2nd powder room, and separate entry to the 2 car or 3 car garage.

The second floor offers 4 bedrooms each with walk in closets, 4 full bathrooms, a linen closet and a laundry chute.

Stepping down a flight of stairs from the first floor you will discover the Entertainment Level and notice the white interior trim of the first two floors giving way to the dark Knotty Alder of the wet bar and the hand hewn Black Walnut used for the mantel of the 4th fireplace, the post and beam work and dual pairs of barn wood doors. Open one pair of those doors and your eyes will look in disbelief as the floor drops another level to a 35' x 40' Sport Court with 19' tall walls and flooring adorned with the Ohio State logo.
